Filmmakers Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Raj Kumar Hirani had a special preview of 3 Idiots for Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar and his begum Saira Banu. Yusufsaab enjoyed the film and there were portions where he was clapping his hands with glee. By the end of the film though he had lost patience with Chatur (Omi Vaidya) and shouted, “Shut up, shut up, shut up!” at the screen character. When the film ended he told Vinod and Raju that he was overwhelmed seeing the film and wanted to have a cup of steaming hot tea and discuss the movie. So, Vinod led Yusufsaab to his seven-storeyed palatial mansion next-door to the preview theatre. The octogenarian climbed the stairs to his terrace, drank his tea and once he finished with the movie talk, he held hands with Vinod and sang old songs. He also found a hand-painted poster of Mughal-e-Azam on the walls of Vinod’s office which he autographed with a black marker. Vinod says, “He winked like a young boy and asked me, ‘Should I autograph for Madhubala as well’.” Vinod said, “No sir, your signature is good enough for me.” That night Vinod told his authorwife Anupama, “As a young boy, back in my village in Kashmir, if anyone had said to me that one day I would hold hands with the legend of Indian Cinema, Dilip Kumar and sing songs, I would never have believed it. This is the most defining moment of my film life. I don’t think anything else can surpass it.”

A 15-day old leopard was found near Devankhedi village near Bhopal on January 22nd and was rescued by Van Vihar national park's team. The cub was named Katrina because the villagers thought she was as beautiful and silky as Katrina Kaif. Katrina learnt about this and expressed her desire to adopt the cub. This was confirmed by Van Vihar's assistant director AK Khare. He stated that she called him up on Friday afternoon and wanted to adopt the cub. However, he points out that the name of the cub, which is presently housed in their zoo, is spelt Catreena.

Actress-entrepreneur Preity Zinta is starting a new chapter in her life following her breakup with businessman Ness Wadia. The only thing that bothers her are link-ups with co-stars and friends, as a result of which none of her male friends, she says, wants to go out with her. "I'm surrounded by celebrities who are constantly discussing their personal lives. I'm the same Preity Zinta I used to be. You won't find me discussing my private life in detail. I'm in a very good space right now," Preity told IANS. "The only problem is any man whom I'm seen with in public is automatically linked with me. I've come to a place where none of my male friends wants to go out with me any more! I think I'll just have to pick my date for the next public event through a contest!" she added laughing.
